Let’s chat about the guest bedroom and bathroom! We just had our first overnight guests, and it was so much fun! I truly felt prepared for them and got such joy out of hosting. Here are my tips for hosting overnight guests! {I plan to come back and edit this post as I have more guests and learn more firsthand what they need and use.}
Guest Bathroom Setup:
Soft white towels, hand towels & bath mat with slippers available. I need to purchase a couple of soft black or dark grey handtowels for makeup removal. This way, she won’t feel guilty for getting mascara & foundation on the white towels. Which BTW, came right out.
Matching Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash containers.
These drawers have the necessities they might have forgotten or are just fun extras.
- Tylenol
- Razors & Shaving Cream
- Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
- Facial Wipes/Makeup Remover
- Extra Toilet Paper
- Hair Dryer
- QTips
- Ladies Products
Guest Bedroom Setup:
Our guests kept saying how they felt they were in a hotel or a spa. That’s exactly what I wanted them to experience! This was a mini-vacation for them, and I wanted her to enjoy it and feel comfortable.
This is the main guest bedroom table. It holds items I always run out of or wish I had when visiting people. It’s never fun to ask for something, so I made it easily accessible.
- Hair Ties & Bobby Pins
- WiFi password {nobody actually used this, they always came in the living room and asked us}
- Gain lint remover
- Bowl of candies/chocolates
- Her favorite smell lotion {I asked her before she came} actual lotion not shown bc I forgot to take a picture of it.
- Extra Blanket & Pillow
- Tissues
- Candle & Matches
- Small Mirror with space to hold jewelry.
- Books/Magazines
- Seasonal drinks
The closet has; hangers, a trash can, and extra space for suitcases if they want to put them out of sight. The bench serves as somewhere for them to put suitcases or the extra throw pillows at night. Lamps on either side of the bed make turning lights on and off easily. Don’t you wish you could text your dog when you are away?! 🐕 These coasters were a gift for Christmas & I was so happy to put them in the guest room!
